Yes, you can use SuiteCRM from ChatGPT. SuiteBrain AI is a hosted MCP server with OAuth sign-in, and ChatGPT in developer mode can add one as a custom connector. Paste https://mcp.suitebrainai.com, choose OAuth, then enter your company code and sign in with your own SuiteCRM login. It is tested with ChatGPT, as well as Claude, Gemini and Grok.
Which AI apps can connect to SuiteCRM?
Any app that can add a remote MCP server with OAuth sign-in uses the same address. The table says how each one connects and whether we have tested it. Menu names and which plans include the feature are set by each vendor and change often, so check their own help pages for today’s steps.
| App | How it connects | Tested by us |
|---|---|---|
| Claude (web, desktop, mobile) | Custom connector | Yes. Built and tested with it, including the views inside the chat. |
| ChatGPT | Developer mode, custom connector with OAuth | Yes |
| Google Gemini | Custom connector with OAuth, where your Google account offers it | Yes |
| Microsoft Copilot Studio | MCP tool on an agent, with OAuth | Not yet |
| Mistral Le Chat | Custom MCP connector | Not yet |
| Grok | Custom connector (remote MCP server) | Yes |
| Open WebUI, LibreChat (self-hosted) | Remote MCP server with OAuth | Not yet |
How do I add SuiteCRM to ChatGPT?
- Turn on developer mode in ChatGPT’s settings. On business workspaces an admin may need to allow it first.
- Create a custom connector and paste the address https://mcp.suitebrainai.com. You will enter your company code, from your portal, when you sign in; get one when you start the trial.
- Choose OAuth as the authentication and sign in with your SuiteCRM username and password. We use it once and never store it.
- Ask. “What is open for BlueRiver?” Review each change it proposes before you confirm it.
Steps follow OpenAI’s published description of developer mode as of September 2026; OpenAI may rename them. See OpenAI: developer mode and MCP apps in ChatGPT.
How is this different from other SuiteCRM ChatGPT integrations?
A search for “SuiteCRM ChatGPT integration” mostly finds two things. Add-ons in the SuiteCRM Store run inside the CRM and send text to OpenAI with your own API key, to summarise a record or draft an email. Automation platforms pass data between SuiteCRM and the OpenAI API in recipes you build. Both work from the CRM outward.
SuiteBrain AI works from the AI app inward. You stay in the chat, and it searches, creates and updates SuiteCRM records for you, as you, under your SuiteCRM roles. The side-by-side comparison covers each option.
Where do the interactive views appear?
In Claude. It supports custom connectors on web, desktop and phone, and draws the interactive views: dashboards, boards, charts and forms, built from live records. In other apps you get the answers and the record changes, and the views wherever the app supports them. What a Claude connector is covers the details.
Questions
- Does SuiteBrain AI work with ChatGPT?
- It uses the open Model Context Protocol with OAuth sign-in, which ChatGPT supports in developer mode, so ChatGPT uses the same address as Claude. It is tested: teams sign in with their SuiteCRM login and work with their records from ChatGPT.
- Is this the same as the ChatGPT add-ons in the SuiteCRM Store?
- No. Those run inside SuiteCRM and send text to OpenAI with your API key, mostly to summarise records or draft emails. SuiteBrain AI works the other way round: you stay in your AI app, and it reads and writes SuiteCRM records for you, as you.
- Do we pay for ChatGPT through you?
- No. Your AI subscription is yours and we never charge for the model. SuiteBrain AI costs the same whichever app your team uses.
- Whose permissions apply in ChatGPT?
- The same as in Claude: each person signs in with their own SuiteCRM login, and their SuiteCRM roles decide what can be seen and changed. We never store the CRM password.
- Will the dashboards and boards show up in ChatGPT?
- The interactive views are built and tested in Claude. In other apps, count on the answers and the record changes; whether an app draws the views is up to that app.
